TAYLOR CYCLES ROAD TEAM - The newly formed Taylor Cycles Road Team produced excellent results at their criterion racing debut, securing a 1st place win in B grade at the Murrarrie Crit on Saturday. Jay Taylor enjoyed winning his first ever road race with the help of lead-out man Jason Blackmore and team member Patrick Campbell. Taylor Cycles would also like to introduce and welcome team manager Barry Peacock. Barry Peacock, who is qualified in International Sports Management and passionate about all things cycling, is excited to join the Taylor Cycles team.

TOUR OF HOPE 2012 - Tour of Hope will return in 2012, and Taylor Cycles is back on board as major sponsor of this highly successful fundraising initiative. Registrations open in March next year and details will be updated on the website tourofhope.com.au. The 2012 tour will present new features and challenges - including a "500k in a day" attempt by Taylor Cycles staff member and elite rider Taylor Charlton.
WE'VE BEEN BUSY! New photos of various Taylor Cycles custom builds are now up on our gallery. Have a look on both our Custom Build Road Bike Gallery and Custom Build Mountain Bike Gallery for some recent pictures of custom built bikes lovingly put together in the Taylor Cycles workshop. They include this beauty (pictured below), a Jamis track bike custom built for professional triathlete and National Series Champion,Troy O'Shea (also of Electric Personal Training). Troy was so impressed with the work at Taylor Cycles he then bought a Rocky Mountain immediately after!

Registration for the Sunshine Series 4hr XCE Event - Endurance race held at Garapine hosted by Gravity MTB Club. The registration page is now live on MTBA website-Events calendar. Please make sure you click on the event on the 23-October that says Garapine, not the one that says Kandanga, as there is no link to it. There is an info sheet on the rego page for all you need to know. Please enter online by this Thursday the 20th at www.mtba.asn.com.au

KWT SUNSHINE SERIES XCO- The last XCO round held last weekend rounded off a great series and saw some good results on the overall standings! Congratulations to our Taylor Cycles riders on their overall results- Jay Taylor and Craig Northway placing 5th and 7th respectively in Elite Men's, Jason Blackmore also 5th in Veteran's, Cameron Siebenhausen 3rd in Masters, and Jeremy Chan 4th in Expert. The last round itself produced some interesting results on the gruelling track, with the whole Taylor Cycles team representing well. See full race round and overall results here.

AROUND THE RACE SCENE- Congratulations to Taylor Cycles Elite rider Craig Northway for finishing a very impressive 7th place in the Epic on Sunday. Craig finished up with a speedy time of 4:20:38.
And another congratulations to Taylor Cycles' staff member Cassie Dodd, who after just moving up to A-grade road racing has secured two podium finishes! Cassie placed 2nd last week at the Charles Coin Memorial race, and 2nd again on the weekend at Cunningham Classic.
TOUR OF HOPE- Taylor Cycles got out last Saturday and supported a heap of cyclists on the Tour of Hope, an epic fundraiser that supports transformative community projects in under privelaged areas, including an orphanage in Kenya! We conducted bike checks for the ride, which was a huge success.
As organiser Pat Hegarty from Kenmore Baptist Church said - "We're still staggered at the great wins from the Tour of Hope. The weather was great; the day in the park was awesome; the volunteers were amazing - we had over 300 riders; there were no serious accidents; we have raised $77,881 ... and the riders all gave great feedback so it looks like next year will be bigger and better." We look forward to being a part of it again!
