PROLOGO Scratch Pro Nack Saddle

Prologo's Scratch Pro Nack Saddle adds another layer of sophistication beyond the already impressive Nack. To demystify things a bit, Nack refers to Nano Aluminum Carbon Kevlar, where aluminum particles are mixed into the composite structure along with the carbon and Kevlar to reinforce the rails of the saddle at the clamp zone.

For their Scratch Pro Nack, Prologo redesigned the transition from tail to nose. From an overhead view, the cutout from the wings to the narrow nose of the saddle is more dramatic and sharper. Prologo calls it Easy Stroke Design, or ESD. By carving out this section, Prologo makes more …carbon rails ensure lightness and Prologo's ESD shaping along with multi-density foam give it plenty of comfort… space for your legs as you pedal. The ESD shaping prevents you from unconsciously slipping forward in the saddle, away from your preferred location.

And while Prologo always gives its saddles both a flexible shell and multi-density foam, the Scratch Pro Nack gets an extra-light carbon-fiber-injected frame, with a flexible midsection, and three-density foam bolstering. The foam is slightly soft in the saddle's midsection, between tip and paddle, and more supportive at the seat and on the nose. This is also a longer-nosed model than a strict "road" saddle, so Prologo suggests it may be suitable for mountain bikers who need to move forward when charging very steep terrain.

Fit notes: The Scratch Pro Nack has a round profile and is generously padded. Prologo says its rounder saddles are more comfortable for long-mileage riders who rarely stand for climbs. This is also a fairly narrow model, at 134mm across the paddle. If you have broader hip bones you'll want to consider the 141mm or 143mm width models that Prologo makes instead.
